Pediatric imaging historically relied on adult knee coils, resulting in poor Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) due to improper sizing. XLR Imaging solved this with a novel hexagonal coil array - inspired by soccer ball geometry - to provide superior signal density and uniform coverage for smaller heads.

The design approach transforms the coil into a "hero helmet," mimicking football or astronaut helmets. This playful form, featuring surfaces for stickers and drawing, reduces patient anxiety and empowers children during a frightening medical procedure.
